I love this school! I just started this semester and I can reel you that every there is so welcoming and friendly. the classes are very affordable! All of my classes were paid for by red cross this semester which I am extremely grateful for. The school has everyone you need and looking for in a community college.. This school is very close to Mentor.
It has taken 4 years to graduate with 2 year degree. Thats absolutely RIDICULOUS!! Two year degrees are not set up to complete in two years. The teachers are nice, and easy to communicate with. Bookstore never answers the phone when they claim they are to be available! People need their student refund and rely on it to get through the semester. Glitches in the system are the schools issue and should not affect the students!!
In regarded to the book store; Hours don’t really work for a person that works a full time job Monday through Friday 9am-530 and they aren’t open on the weekends. They do have ordering online which is nice but I’d rather purchase it from the actual store. I really hate these single page “textbooks” I’ve ripped pages straight off the prongs of my binders by just turning the page. School itself is stressful enough bring back real textbooks because you are literally charging the same price as an actually textbook compared to single pages that I have to by a binder for. The workers are very nice and knowledgeable.
Great learning experience! Amazing staff. Lost and found only keeps things for 90 days, though, if anyone was wondering.
Outstanding place without standing staff. So far I've only taken two classes, but Ms. Stanton and Ms. Greaves are just awesome and everybody else I've dealt with here is delightful as well.
Big beautiful brand new facility. Visited the health center dental hygenist dept. and was very impressed by the teaching staff and the students. Very professional and intelligent and the service you get from the hygienist is on par or better than any dentist you will go to.
Beautiful campus, updated facilities, and a faculty that knows their stuff! The tuition is affordable. The class sizes are small and the professors really want to see you succeed!
Hi,
I'm a graduate from 1988 of the Dental Hygiene program. I have a successful career now. The dental hygiene clinic has since been updated and looks awesome! I had a positive experience there. I always encourage people to attend, even if it's just to save money on electives! My son is currently registered and will be attending this month, I'm thrilled. I'm also going to be attending, but as a 60 year old who will be auditing the class, because I can go for free! I give Lakeland 5 Stars...Good luck!
Very beautiful campus in Lake County. I never attended here, but my job used to be located on the campus in a beautiful Mansion with a peaceful music hall. I can recall deer grazing in the field in the back and walking up to the window while I was working inside. Needless to say that was a special perk to working there.
It was pretty quiet there considering the pandemic. I went to the meteorology lab taught by John Niedzelnik. He was laid back and informative with the students. Tries to change things up with guest speakers and field trips!
The only complaint is directionally, the school does not have enough signage or directories to navigate your way through the school.
